During these unprecedented times, the health of our patients is our driving force and first priority. Dr. Wells and the staff at Valley Plastic Surgery want you to know that we are taking the following precautions to ensure your safety.
- We have enhanced our entire patient experience so that we can continue to serve your needs in the most medically-safe manner possible. From Virtual and Video Consultations, photo and video links that are secure, encrypted, and HIPAA-compliant, to our innovative drive-up and open-air Botox treatments, we are adapting to keep you healthy, feeling your best, and looking your best!
- Because our practice also has a state-of-the-art, private ambulatory surgical facility on-site, we have always adhered to a rigorous level of cleaning, sterility and air filtration standards. We have enhanced the safeguards throughout our facility, EXCEEDING the guidelines of the State of Maryland, CDC, OSHA, AAAASF (the national organization that accredits our operating room), and MANY of the other surgery facilities in our area. This includes 99.99% ultra medical filtration efficiency. Undergoing a procedure with Dr. Wells prevents our patients from unnecessary exposure/contact with hospital-based operating facilities that are serving populations of COVID-positive patients, and have been shown in recently-published medical literature to have increased concentrations of viral particles throughout their entranceways and corridors.
- Dr. Wells is committed to assisting our surgical patients in staying healthy and away from potentially infectious circumstances. Toward that end, we are currently addressing most of our patients’ pre-surgical medical needs by consolidating our patients’ history and physical, blood work, and other testing at OUR office. This means that most of our patients will NOT need to go to an urgent care center, additional medical office, hospital, or free-standing laboratory prior to their procedure and risk contact with ill individuals. We are screening all surgical patients pre-operatively with the most reliable method for COVID-19 detection, RT-PCR antigen testing. Additionally, we are offering COVID-19 IgG antibody testing at our office.
- All staff and physicians, including our anesthesiologists, are undergoing screening upon arrival every day, as are all patients and visitors entering our facility.
- We are controlling patient flow so that you are escorted directly from your car into our patient rooms or pre-operative area, without the need to touch any surfaces or doors. All touchable surfaces (hangers, faucets, bathroom fixtures) are sanitized with medical-grade disinfectants immediately prior to your entrance into our office.
