With breast enhancement, Dr. Wells can address these changes to accentuate your curves while minimizing downtime and providing long-lasting results. After breast enhancement, you can enjoy feeling more comfortable in different types of clothing. Removing droopy skin can also help you find relief from skin irritation and uncomfortable chafing beneath your clothing. Breast Enhancement After Weight Loss
Droopy skin after weight loss, colloquially known as an “Ozempic breast,” is a common issue for patients whose skin is stretched by excess fat. Enjoying your weight loss achievement can be difficult when droopy pockets of skin affect your proportions and the way your clothes fit. Dr. Wells can address changes from weight fluctuations and combine your procedure with other body contouring treatments to remove droopy skin from multiple areas of the body during a single procedure. Breast Enhancement Procedures
Breast Lift
A breast lift repositions the breast mound and removes excess skin for a smoother, more youthful-looking appearance. Aging and pregnancy can result in droopy skin that changes the position of the breasts. Although the procedure does not add volume, removing the excess skin and raising the breast mound can help you achieve a more youthful-looking figure. Dr. Wells can perform several different types of incisions to improve your appearance and emphasize your natural curves:
- Crescent: She can make a thin incision along the upper half of the areola to address mild skin laxity.
- Donut: A slightly longer incision along the edge of the areola can address mild to moderate skin laxity.
- Lollipop: She can make an incision along the areola that extends vertically along the underside of the breast until it reaches the lower breast fold (inframammary crease) for moderate skin laxity.
- Inverted T/Anchor: An incision that extends vertically along the underside of the breast and horizontally along the lower breast crease (2) can address a significant amount of excess skin.
Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation is a procedure that increases the volume of the breasts with implants so you can enjoy a curvier figure. We offer several different types of implants based on your aesthetic goals and underlying anatomy:
- Saline: Salt water-filled implants can provide natural-looking volume, and Dr. Wells can place them with more discreet incisions since she fills them with saline after placing them into the breast pocket.
- Silicone: Implants filled with a soft gel mimic the feeling and movement of natural breast tissue.
- Gummy Bear: A slightly firmer silicone gel formula can improve your breast projection for a natural-looking appearance.
She will place the implants behind or in front of the chest muscle, depending on your desired look. (3) Dr. Wells will also carefully select the shape of the implant to improve the volume of the upper and/or the lower breast poles, depending on your underlying anatomy.
Breast Augmentation With Lift
Breast augmentation with lift is a procedure that removes excess skin, lifts the breast mound to a higher position, and increases the volume of the breasts with implants. With discreet incisions, Dr. Wells can help you create a smoother, curvier figure with more youthful-looking breasts. This procedure is best for women who want to address more than one body goal during a single appointment and minimize downtime.
Breast Reduction
Breast reduction is a procedure that reduces the size of your breasts for a breast mound that is more comfortable and more proportional to your body size and shape. If you have naturally large breasts that cause back, neck, and or shoulder pain, Dr. Wells can help you find relief with the procedure. During breast reduction, she can remove both fatty and glandular tissue to reshape the breasts. She will perform liposuction for fatty tissue–a body contouring treatment that removes excess fat with gentle suction that preserves the surrounding tissue. Dr. Wells can permanently remove excess fat with a thin cannula for lasting results.
Breast Implant Removal
Breast implant removal is a procedure that removes your current breast implants. Some women remove their implants because their aesthetic preferences change, while others remove them to address functional concerns. If you no longer wish to have implants, Dr. Wells can remove them to help you achieve your goals so you can enjoy a more proportional appearance. After removing your implants, you can enjoy a natural appearance. If you decide to receive implants again in the future, we can place new ones.
Breast Implant Revision
Breast implant revision is a procedure that replaces your current breast implants with new ones. If your aesthetic preferences change or you notice changes to your breasts after receiving implants, Dr. Wells can enhance your figure with new implants. The procedure can also help patients address breast asymmetry, shifted implants, or scar tissue (capsular contracture) with a breast implant revision procedure.
Candidates & Consultation
Suitable candidates for breast enhancement would like to improve the shape and appearance of their breasts with lasting results and minimal downtime. If you are in good overall health and a nonsmoker, you are likely a good candidate for the procedure.
If you are breastfeeding, pregnant, or planning to become pregnant, Dr. Wells recommends that you wait to receive the procedure. You must also be able to take time off work to care for your body and make lifestyle changes that support your healing. You must limit physical activity for several weeks afterward and make time to follow up with the office. You must also avoid excessive sun exposure, which could cause scars in your incisions.
During your consultation, Dr. Wells will discuss your medical history, medications, and lifestyle to create the best treatment plan for your needs. Please come prepared with any questions and bring photographs if you have them. Depending on your body goals, she can recommend additional procedures to help you achieve your desired look.
How to Prepare for Breast Enhancement
The preparation process for breast enhancement is simple. You must avoid sun exposure and take good care of your skin in the weeks following your procedure. You will also need to stop smoking temporarily, and you will need to avoid alcohol for up to 24 hours before and after the procedure.
We recommend that you run your errands ahead of time and create a comfortable place in your home to recover so you can focus on healing. Scheduling time off work, asking a trusted adult to drive you home, and making a few meals ahead of time can also help you focus on your recovery.
